INTRODUCTION

      Homoeopathy is a divine art of healing an individualistic mode of the drug treatment, according to a law of therapeutics, arrived at inductively, definitely based on a distinctive Biological outlook, Philosophically sound and open to experimental proof.

      In the present phase of the History of Homoeopathy, the whole Homoeopathic worlds is looking towards India for guidance in a systematized form in the study of this system of the medicine.

      Homoeopathy is comparatively a new system of medicine, introduced by Dr. C.F.S. Hahnemann – A system based on the dictum “Similia Similibus Curentur” i.e. let likes be treated by likes. His discovery of the Homoeopathic system of medicine offered newer vitas of vision to the Scientists all over the world.

CENTRAL COUNCIL OF HOMOEOPATHY (CCH)

It is a statutory apex body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH. It was set up by the Government of India in 1973, and part of the Professional Councils of University Grants Commission (UGC), formed to monitor higher education in India

      CCH controls homeopathy education in India; any institution desiring to grant a qualification in h0me0pathy is required to apply to the Council, which prescribes course curriculum and maintains central registers of homoeopaths.

CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR RESEARCH IN HOMOEOPATHY (CCH)

      It was established as an autonomous organisation in 1978, under the Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Primarily a research body, CCRH has a multi-dimensional approach to research and its varied research activities include ‘Survey, collection and cultivation of medicinal plants’, ‘Drug standardisation’, ‘Drug proving’, ‘Clinical verification’ and ‘Clinical research’. Besides, CCRH also collaborates with other research bodies for researches and monitors extramural researches

MINISTRY OF AYUSH

      The Ministry of AYUSH was formed on 9th November 2014 to ensure the optimal devel0pment and propagation of AYUSH systems of health care. Earlier it was known as the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H) which was created in March 1995 and renamed as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November 2003, with focused attention for development of Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.
